Second round of the CIGT Endurance
The second round of the Italian GT Endurance championship was held on the 14th of July in Mugello, one of the most iconic Italian circuits.
Car #33 of the Star Performance by ASR team was a strong car in their class all weekend long. Miloš and his teammates were clear favourites for the win.
Unfortunately racing is unpredictable and in Endurance racing no major mistakes can be made. A spin costed the team three laps and that was simply not possible to recover.
Miloš did set third fastest time overall, fastest lap time in class but that was not enough to recover.
The positive note is that the car #33 did finish the race and at least valuable data was collected so to better prepare the next race in Imola.
“We had an amazing opportunity to win this race. One small mistake and this opportunity was gone. It’s a shame but that’s racing. The car is quick and we just need to put it together, hopefully at the next round in Imola. We will give it our all”.
